RENTAL RENO..

Hiiiiiiiiiiii Happy Freaky Friday!! I don’t know about you guys, but I’ve been feeling a bit MEH this week… so I thought, tidy mind and all that, and decided to have a little purge of old things on my phone. Started with Right Move, (probs should have started with photos, but I have 42,457 at the last count, and that in it’s self felt a bit over whelming… I mean deciding if I need a screenshot of a pom pom cat is just too big of a decision to make atm) …. ANNNYYYYYWWAAYYY back to Right Move, I was casually deleting old rented properties I’ve saved, and came across the listing for our little house… it genuinely feels like yesterday that we sat in Penny Blue eating eggs benedict when we first saw No 21… We knew straight away that it was the one, and not knowing Huddersfield at all, we just had to take a punt, and thankfully we got lucky!!

Sadly the decor was a little tired, and not at all to our taste, we agreed before we signed the lease that it would be ok for us to decorate, which was a huge relief… We’d already seen wallpaper that we wanted for the kitchen and I’d post it noted my vast collection of Living Etc’s for lounge inspo… We were good to go!!

Now almost 4 years on and we just redecorated the lounge for the second time, and I love it more than ever. It’s amazing what a lick of paint can do :-)

I won’t lie, it can be hard make a rented house feel like your home, there are so many things I would change if I owned the house. We are lucky that our landlords are really nice, and flexible, we have pretty much a free reign when it comes to cosmetic bits and bobs, but those small things are what have enabled us to make our little rental feel like us.

I did a little poll on Insta to see if people wanted to see some before and after shots of the house and the result was unanimous, 100% yessss so I will do that I promise!! I just wanted to say hello for today and do a little intro to me and my rental reno… :-)

So I really hope you enjoy the ride, and like what we’ve done with the place lol… I sure do!! :-)

Now I just need to tidy up to take some after pics haha…
